Jacob Briddle is a Musician that was born on April 4, 1996 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Living in the suburbs of Raleigh, Jacob loved playing sports growing up and was very good at football. He played Football for the Wake Forest Titans for 2 years. Around 10 years young, Jacob was inspire by his Dad to start playing guitar. His Dad would play and sing for the whole family and Jacob loved how much joy it brought everyone. After Getting his first guitar at 10 years young, Jacob knew that there was something about the guitar that he really adored. Playing nonstop, Jacob knew this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. His dream is to be the biggest/most recognized musician in the world and bring joy through music just like his dad would for him. Jacob told his wonderful Mom when he was younger that he would go get a star in the sky and bring it back for her. Becoming that star for his Mom is a part of Jacobs destiny, and he will never stop until he brings that star to her. He started guitar learning open chords taught by his father. He also would learn songs on his own on the family laptop like Stairway to Heaven and Sweet Home Alabama. Finally having enough confidence to play for people, he showed his family the songs he’s be learning and he was stunned by there reaction. Jacob knew he was getting somewhere and there was no holding back. At 12, Jacob got his first electric guitar for Christmas. Taking advantage of the internet, he would learn songs by watching people play on YouTube and go on websites that had guitar tabs. He heard “Little Wing” by Stevie Ray Vaughan (originally a jimi hendrix song) for the first time and fell in love. He got obsessed and learned all of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s songs, playing for hours every day learning note by note in his tablature books. Stevie Ray Vaughan is Jacobs guitar hero due to his tasty guitar licks, passion in his tone, and his amazing life story. His dreams is to follow in SRVs footsteps and keep shredding guitar as SRV would want. Jacob was also learning Eric Johnson, John Mayer, Slash, Norman Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Jimmy Page, etc., which are some of Jacobs favorite guitar players. Through out his career, Jacobs been learning genres like Metal, Acoustic Music, Jazz, Pop, Country, Rock, Funk, Soul, Classical, Jazz Fusion etc. At 14 Jacob was introduced to musician Mike Briggs through is Dad. Mike was giving him guitar lessons and taught him how to record music. Mike is one of Jacobs greatest mentor and they played in many bands and made so much music together. Mike introduced Jacob to drummer Steve Tucker, where he learned to play with a live drummer and get the experience of playing with other musicians. They together formed The Clique Band and played original music and played in many cover bands. Around this time in Jacobs freshman year in high school, he was inspired by his girlfriend at the time to sing to her. Gifted a 4 track, he made a CD for her singing melody’s of other songs. Jacob was only a guitar player and she really influenced him to become a singer and branch out as a musician. Jacob Played his first payed gig at Ruckus pizza in Raleigh with Mike and Steve. Sophomore year in high school Jacob met good friend Karilee McLean. They started a music group Called Jacob and Karilee aka Neon lights, doing pop covers, YouTube videos and original music. They blew up together on Facebook locally and grew a fan base creating music videos and cover videos. Their YouTube channel is now called “Young Briddle”. Jacob and Karilee did a Christmas concert at a local coffee shop in 2012, and was a big success with friends and local fans showing up to support. Half of ticket sales were donated to a local animal shelter. This moment was huge for Jacob because he would tell his friends in middle school that he was going to get tickets to his shows in the future, and that moment finally had a proof of concept. Karilee helped Jacob to start singing more and gave him confidence to really pursue it. Winning their high school talent show together is one of Jacobs most memorable music memory of his life. Jacob continued to sing and produced music on his 4 track during these times. In the midst of producing on his 4 track, he learned how to play bass and keyboard. Around this time in his junior year, he got his first solo payed gig at The Wine cellar playing Jazz. His senior year he got pro tools and fruity loops and started producing music digitally. He produced a hip hop mixtape called “Next level” with his good friend Alston Tyler where he learned how to record and mix digitally. Also this is the year Jacob wrote “One and Only girl” for his girlfriend at the time, which is his favorite song he has ever wrote. He fell in love with 7th chords and really got involved in the R&B side of himself during this time. Also in his senior year, he played in a band with Mike, Steve, and Lauren Nicole called “Lauren Nicole Alliance”. In the midst Jacob played at a local radio station with the band and it was a big achievement to do so. Doing solo gigs, Being a Dj, making beats, and playing in bands the rest of his high school career, he knew a new path was on the horizon. That’s where he attend music school at UNC School of the Arts in 2014. He moved into a dorm on campus in Winston Salem, NC where UNC School of the Arts is located. Majoring in Classical guitar, he learned how to read music and play structured musical pieces. Jacobs guitar teacher/professor was Joseph Pecoraro, who taught him new ways to think about guitar, helped him with music theory and classical guitar techniques. Jacob would study music all day for class, and at night, go to party’s and enjoy the college life around him. While attending the school he met good friend Travie Childs. He asked Travie to mix and master his song “Chill Girl” and was impressed with his audio engineering skills and musicianship. Jacob also got a video director to help with the “Chill Girl” music video to the song and got recognition through out the school. Jacob learned so much about music in one year, his mind was blown. After a long, adventurous freshman year, Jacob decided to drop out of college and peruse his music career head on. He moved to a town home in Raleigh in 2016. While always producing music, Jacob sold his first music production to an artist which made him an official professional music producer. Around this time, Jacob was offered a record deal by AMI studios(Mike “Supprbad” Reeves). They did Jacobs first song on iTunes together called “Everything Beautiful” and the studio saw Jacobs potential. While in the studio, Jacob met Lou Forte, where they would start a new RnB Pop group named “C.R.U.S.H”. Jacob decided not to take the record deal due to not agreeing to the contract and keeping his options open. At this time, Jacob would spend most his time creating music for C.R.U.S.H, playing solo gigs, producing music, and playing guitar in a funk band named “Reel Deep”. C.R.U.S.H would go on to make multiple records and do many live performances, but soon split as a group. Jacob and Travie decided to make a new music group called “Over Beyond”. “Over Beyond” released 2 singles in 2017 named “Chemistry” and “Next to Me”. A new duo was on the rise with a lot of potential, with a new a sound for the modern age, mixing Jacobs guitar vibe, with Travies drum vibe. For a few years Jacob would continue playing solo gigs, play in bands, produce music, and create for “Over Beyond”. Also around this time, Jacob signed a music production deal with 2020 Entertainment as a music producer for the company, which he would go on to sell beats to multiple artist. Through out Jacobs whole music career, he would spend hours maximizing his guitar skills and really wanted to be the best. Perfecting his craft was the only thing on his mind. Around 2018 & 2019, Jacob and Travie lived in different city’s so they couldn’t work as much on “Over Beyond” as they wanted. So Jacob would isolate his self in the studio relentlessly studying guitar books and learn new techniques to make his musical impact more intense. Also In 2019 Jacob & Tristian (Kelseys husband) would create a song for his sister Kelsey’s wedding day called “As Long as Your There”. The song was dedicated to her. At the end of 2019 Jacob created a new concept for music called musical art pieces. It consist of a story with only musical instruments (no vocals) and is intended to be portrayed as an art piece instead of a song. The first 2 musical art pieces Jacob created were “Devyn” and “Micayla”. Playing gigs, producing music, and doing guitar work for artist, it was time for something major to happen. In 2020 Travie moved to Raleigh and the “Over Beyond Music House” was created. A blown out music factory was in the works, where "Over Beyond” would create music productions, mix and master music, study musical concepts, create songs, and strategize the "Over Beyond” Plans. 2021 and 2022 were years all about creating the best music possible and learning new music business strategy . Hundreds of beats/songs were made and perfected. 2023 would continue to be a busy year, being the most gigs Jacob as played in his whole career. Its is now 2024 and big plans are in full effect. Jacob plans to release a lot of music this year for this moment will be looked back on in a legacy worthwhile. Jacobs Mom might would say that Jacob is the star he promised to be and she is so proud of him. We know his Mom is very proud of all the great things Jacob has accomplished, but Jacob knows there’s more places to reach before that star is fully delivered. Now 28, Jacob knows 28-29 are going to be some of his biggest years in his career, and he does it for his love of music, his family, and the people he shares/shared his dream with. Its Jacobs destiny to fulfill his dreams. Jacob has big dreams and will never give up on those dreams. So hears to the next 2 years of Jacobs Music career.
